Happy Thanksgiving!

What a great day! So many things to be thankful for… we are so blessed :)

YAY Lions! Ironically, we were at the game 10 years ago when Packers were at Lions on Thanksgiving day… which was the last time they won.

Christmas cookies

Today Cora and Becky made homemade cookies for Thanksgiving. Cora especially loved the science behind mixing colors for the frosting.

Happy 9 months, Louisa!

Louisa's keeping us on our toes. She's totally mobile via crawling and pulling herself up to stand. Of course she's a curious little cat and into everything. She's saying a few more words (ma ma, da da) and is starting to eat some solid foods. She's got 3 teeth now and is working on her final front tooth. I'm not sure on her current stats, but she's growing a TON!

Farewell, Li

The great Li Mu Bai, whom Greg found as a kitten and "gifted" to his folks when he started living on ships, has moved on to better places. His persnickety personality and tolerance for our girls' boisterous pats and Greg's baths AND his affinity for beer will be greatly missed….

RIP, Li (2001-2013)

Aloha y'all

… To sum up our great weekend by combining the languages of where we lie our heads :) We look forward to the next time...

A visit to the ducks

It seems the Peabody Hotel is a favorite place to take guests when they visit. We came to see the famous march of the ducks and were pleasantly surprised by the uncrowded, easy atmosphere compared to other visits.

a Tea Party!

As soon as Cora learned that Caitlin was visiting, she asked if we could throw a tea party, so we did! We sent the boys to get burgers while we enjoyed finger sandwiches - cucumber, olive, salmon and PB&J, fruit and cream puffs and cookies
Everyone showed up with hats and gloves

Cora was a very attentive pourer of "kid tea"

Louisa enjoyed teething on the silver teaspoon...

Downtown Collierville

After church today, we went downtown to the square to run off some donut-energy and enjoy the beautiful fall day.

Feeding the fish

A pretty fall picture of our front yard and pond
The girls feeding the fish -- they took the job very seriously (and had to be coaxed back a few times as they almost fell in the pond!)
