Boo!

A great Halloween week…. First, pumpkin carving lessons by daddy!
 Inspecting the guts
 Ewwwww!
 Serious work with understudy
 Ta-dah!

Next came Emi's Halloween party at school...

 Creepy oreo spiders
Pin the tail on the cat

Finally, dinner with friends before trick-or-treating…. A crisp, 52 degree night that necessitated layers and sweatsuits under costumes. We lasted 47 minutes trick-or-treating :)
 Snake calzones
 Witches fingers
 Fruit kabobs
Trick or treat! The kiddos had a ball  :) We ladies walked them around and daddy's handed out candy. Here's hoping we've started a new tradition!

Trunk or Treat 2014

We had a beautiful (albeit a bit hot --- 86 degrees) day for the annual Trunk or Treat! We had a great turn-out and fun was had by ALL :)
The Madea Farm

Hanging out with Liam (minion without his costume on…)
Emi getting some treats from Mt. Sinai
Nice mullet...
 Hooray for the airplane ride!

Louisa even got to ride it this year and LOVED it (she rode 3 sequential times!)
Our buddy Emily didn't like it so much...
Handing out candy with some helpers
 Riding the train
 With friend Caroline
Farm animals at the Petting zoo...
 Check out Emi's awesome tail!
 Feeding (and befriending) a goat
 With buddy Sammie from school
With Molly the babysitter
With Mr. Jim (before/after)
With friends Ethan and Erin at the duck pond

Hopefully another great night's sleep!!!

Cora apparently won "best costume" this year -- and got a trophy after church today :)

Excellent dinner...

So it's not quite Paleo, but we sure enjoyed our jack-o-lantern pizza from Papa Murphy's tonite!

Halloween festivities begin...

This evening we attended the Jack-o-Lantern Gymboree at Gymstars. The girls wore their stand-by princess costumes as their halloween ones are not quite ready!
Perhaps the sweetest picture of the day… Cora helping princess Louisa put on her high heels
 Cinderella's all ready!
C+E getting their faces painted (do you see the madness behind?!?!)
Louisa was jazzed to finally get to explore the gym floor… she started with the cow beam

Jasmine (minus a few accessories)…on high bar
 Rock wall
 Ropes
Emi and Louisa navigating a smaller beam
 Cinderella on the parallel bars
Vaulting (nice action shot!)
Jasmine on higher beam

We ALL went home rather tired, looking forward to a good night's sleep!

Tom's Farm

It's such beautiful fall weather, we decided to go back to Tom's Farm for our pumpkins this year.
On the hayride out to pumpkin patch

 Ready, set, go!
Our choices… pretty over picked, but we still managed to get some unique ones!
Louisa picked a warty one herself, it's pretty cute!

 Hay fight!
Playing at farm after our picnic lunch

 Shucking some corn
