Gobble, gobble, bawk, bawk, quack, quack

Cora's pilgrim outfit for her Thanksgiving Feast at school…. a dress made by Oba and worn by me and Aunt Becky when we were kids. Now that's a hand-me-down!
Pinecone turkeys made at the library after story time
Our new Madea Thanksgiving tradition… a turkey shoot! Cora was a quick learner and a pretty good shot!

Emi made a valiant effort, looking forward to next year!
A little "musical chairs" before dinner
 Voila, the Turducken...
And all it's accompaniments!

Happy Birthday, Finn!

Our old boy turned 9 today! What a joy he's been to our family…he's slowing down a bit, but is still the most loving soul :)

Utter delight

Hours and hours and hours of happiness for our girls. Especially Louisa who doesn't have enough hair to do anything with it yet…

Who'd've thought?

It's already time for winter hats and mittens… looking forward to some snow, ha ha!

Open Houses

As luck would have, both of the girls' school's open houses occurred on the same night. We made it to both, but all were pretty tired afterwards. We really enjoyed the Elementary School one as we haven't yet seen the school in it's entirety. They provided us with a scavenger hunt to complete so we visited every room and met the different specialty teachers.

Emi jumped in and started playing a xylephone
Louisa joined Cora in doing "ladders" in the gymnasium
Over at Emi's classroom as she shows off how to be a teacher and morning circle time
