last day of gymnastics

We've decided to leave Cora's gym because of distance from our new house. There is another gym within 5 minutes that we hope to join and start lessons again. Cora's LOVED her lessons and has improved tremendously, though we aren't crossing our fingers for an Olympic hopeful!

the start of watermelon season

and it looks to be a long one...

tricycling weather

Cora's getting good and loving our LONG driveway for practice... she has "bike day" at preschool this week, necessitating us to buy her a helmet (gee, I got my first one when I went mountain biking in college...times have changed)
"Big Red, meet Little Red"
some yard progress being made, the Japanese lantern got set up this past week

random pix of the girls

Here's a sample of what's been going on recently with our girls. Sadly, no pictures of Emilia walking YET... but fingers crossed they'll be soon (I may regret typing that...)
playground at Cora's preschool

Cora's school birthday party
(I should have just made frosting cups instead of cupcakes with frosting as every kid licked off the frosting immediately and only a few actually ate the cake!)

the new train table put together
taking Sissy for a stroll in her wagon in the rain
(love how she shared her tiny umbrella!)

processional to the spring music program at school (that's Charlie her "boyfriend" behind her...)
singing "the wheels on the bus"
other songs were "itsy-bity spider" and
"if you're happy and you know it"
backyard bubbles

Terrifically Three!

It's so hard to believe that three years have passed since Cora was born!!! We had a FABULOUS day and here are some pictures to show it... we're so lucky to have had a celebration with all sets of grandparents -- Oba and Sofu were here in person and Nana and Duke were on the computer! What fun...
Birthday Girl outfit, complete with purple tutu
making her cake with Oba's assistance
You're how many?
sushi dinner (yes eating just like the Japanese and putting the entire roll in her mouth at once!)
ta-da!

trying out her new binoculars (she's on a big Dora kick these days...)
posing with Oba and Sofu (who wins the prize for being the only one to wear birthday hat the entire party)

Nana and Duke's gift -- her very own piano!
trying out her new scooter

tackling her biggest gift...
a train city (this was her favorite pass-time at the Volvo dealership in CT and "Thomas" is a favorite, so we decided get one of her own!)

Greg's just posing...Cora blew them all out herself
Cora's first chocolate cake... she wasn't sure at first, but warmed up to it really quickly

Emi's 11 months old!

and NEARLY walking solo. She's standing and balancing for a good amount of time and certainly creeping along furniture and with her little walking toys. Please don't mind the boxes in the background, as we're still settling!
forget about pictures sitting on the chair... she's on the move!
rocking on her matching chair with big sister
fascinated with the eyes that close on her dolly
walking along the window seat in kitchen
check out snaggletooth!
ooooh Yeah!
