Happy 1st Birthday, Emilia!

What a wonderful day! Remembering a year ago and SOOO thankful to be where we are with you in our lives, Emi :) We can't wait for what lies ahead...
the birthday princess

a kiss from Daddy (sorry for the head shot, Greg!)
reluctant to walk with her morning cookie
going down the slide with big sister

yes, Cora's pushing
doesn't she look like she's on the "big comfy couch?"
ready for a nap
Cora made the birthday cupcakes and Emi watched
 the resulting product
EXACTLY 1 year old now :)
Emi says Hi on Skype to Oba and Sofu and Cora says hey to Nana and Duke on FaceTime (how cool is it that grandparents virtually attended this party?!?)
Emi opening her first gift and not quite sure how to do it...
everyone one sings Happy Birthday (and Stolatz, of course!)
Cora helped blow out the candle
 Emi EAGERLY attacks her cupcake

Memorial Day 2012

We celebrated pretty traditionally, starting with a parade and ending with watermelon

Emi gets candy from a fireman
this is a WW2 vet, walking the whole parade length in the original uniform he wore upon enlistment
not sure who this guy is, but he's OLD
the Shriners were the biggest hit of the parade in most of our eyes...

and the sons of the confederate army, of course... (ahem)
Emi's wearing the "army princess" outfit Duke bought her
we girls' favorite old car of the parade
the John Deer's a close second

      the watermelon cut-off

     yes, Emi does like watermelon!

Happy Birthday, Greg!

We came to Georgia to celebrate Greg's 35th birthday! He's been dreaming of taking the dogs out on the boat since he met them and they seemed to LOVE it :) Thanks Nana for Bonny's life vest, though!

we stopped for lunch at Gainesville Marina for lunch by the lake

Cora tried her first fried green tomato and she liked it!

Emi decided to take come continuous steps for Daddy's birthday!

the octopus has emerged and did double duty as entertainment AND plant waterer

Cora decided to give her tricycle a bath since she has "bike day" at preschool tomorrow (Thursday)

next she decided to brush the octopus's teeth

AND her feet
