Happy Thanksgiving!

We have so many reasons to give thanks... family, friends, health, home, freedom, humor... We are also thankful for Skype/Facetime, which allows us to see and chat with loved ones even though we can't spend this holiday together...

Our boy turned 7 years old today :) We're so happy to have him in our lives and we look forward to growing old(er) together!

It took a long time, but fun was had by all!

What a way to spend a Saturday (and likely Sunday...)

As much as we love our big, private property and how the shade produced kept us cool over the summer, we are not sure we feel the same this time of year! Our 26 large trees in our front and back yards are dropping quite a few (read: tens of thousands) leaves. We suppose it's nice to enjoy the weather and be productive, but looking up and seeing so many leaves still attached, we fear this will be a LONG season! We did enjoy the 80 degree weather as we "worked" the day away.
