Snow Dayzzz

So we have more days off of school because of the frigid weather and, um, not quite an inch of snow. I suppose it's better called "ice days," because the ice on the roads is really the cause of the cancellation. I guess they don't have salt trucks down here… We're coping but getting some cabin fever, indeed. Fingers crossed for at least one day of school this week (before spring break begins…)
The BIG snow, ha ha

Kid's art

Here is a sample of art projects by Cora and Emi...
Cora made this in Sunday School and it's pictures of how she can help… By walking the dogs, picking up balls in the yard and putting them in their orange bin, making her bed and cleaning up and sweeping with a broom
This outline of Emi was done at school, Cora decided to color it in and accessorize!
Cora's preschool is studying DaVinci this month and this is her painting of the Mona Lisa

The Shriner's Circus

We surprised Cora and Emi with tickets to the circus tonight! It's been ages since we've been and we were quite impressed with the show. Too bad we had to leave at intermission since it was so late… we look forward to next year's MATINEE show :)

Doing quite well with a fork, too!

At the carwash...

Fun way to entertain kids? Drive through the carwash!
 Oooh, rainbow soap!
MUCH, MUCH better than taking the dogs through the carwash :)

Our budding artist

Today was beautiful outside, so Cora asked me to get her easel and paints and set them up in the backyard...
She began by drawing the playset with a pencil
And then the painting began...

Voila!

Heading home

We've sure missed Greg and Louisa and are excited for their return tonight! Lou appears to have been a great traveler, but who knows the real story… regardless, Greg wins "daddy, son, grandson and husband of the year" award for taking this challenge and succeeding!
