Big girl room

This is how we really spent our Easter weekend… preparing the girls for their new bedroom on the other side of the house :)
Here's hoping for many restful nights...

Happy Easter!

We had a beautiful Easter Sunday and we hope you had one, as well. Ours was spent together "just the 5 of us" and we missed our extended family as always...

Happy 8th Birthday, Bonny!

We can't believe how time flies… We love you Bonny!
 Singing "Happy Birthday"
 Eagerly awaiting their "cupcake"
 Louisa's getting good at this!
Bonny opening her gift from Oba and Sofu
 With card made by Cora
Our gift -- a giant American beef jerky
 Finn REALLY enjoying Bonny's treat

Wouldn't you know?

It takes Mommy going away for Louisa to decide to walk! That little stinker :) Greg and the girls captured it on video and it felt like I was right there...
I think she looks pretty steady for just starting to walk and I have a feeling she's been doing it secretly for months! Of course now that I am back, she prefers to crawl!!!

Some special visitors

College friends Gail and Erin flew in to kidnap me and go to Nashville for the weekend… It was awesome to finally be able to introduce the girls to these lovely ladies. The weekend away was much needed and well enjoyed!
Gail and Erin accessorized with the girls hair bows :)
Louisa accompanied us to the Peabody to see the ducks before heading east
 Gail coloring with the girls
Inside Bluebird Cafe -- a wonderful, tiny, live music spot we really enjoyed
Lunch at Hattie B's hot chicken, YUM
At the Grand Ole Opry (sporting our boots!)
A shot down Broadway at the Honkey Tonk Bars…. so much fun!

They're BAACK!

When going to get the mail this morning, look who I saw in our very green, budding yard :) I didn't see them hop in the pond, but they were certainly touring around.
