We are having a lot of fun around Sasebo. Greg joins us when he can, but it's not all that often. We still manage to get some dinners together. Yesterday we made Japanese Eggplant Parmesan and brought it to the ship for dinner in the wardroom, since Greg had duty. He also gave mom and dad a tour of the Tortuga.

lunch at yummy tempura restaurant in the ginza... I'm impressed with mom and dad's chopstick skills!

Mom bought a beautiful kimono in a department store in ginza....

Nana and Duke inside the Harbor View Club on base (oops, Cora too!)

Happy Grandparent's day -- celebrated with brunch on base after church on Sunday.

Cora was amuzed with the coy fish and turtles at the Japanese Garden outside of brunch. She's so happy in the arms of Duke (aka "the baby whisperer")!

Greg and folks at Japanese pro-baseball game in Fukuoka --- we saw the SoftBank Hawks play the Rakuen Eagles. A close, good game.

mandatory stop at Hard Rock Cafe in Fukuoka before the game....

the kids in the kitchen.

at our favorite Sake Mill --- for tour and tasting....
Today we visited nearby Arita, where we shopped til we dropped in countless pottery/china shops.
